[Class 87 (ii).] Ina press, bending-machine, &c., in which the workpiece is positioned between abutments a<1> on a slide a and abutments bl on a slide b operated by eccentrics o, the stroke of the slides is varied by mounting the eccentrics on cams l on a rod c, Fig. 4, adjusted by hand-gear h. The cams l are keyed to the rod c and to the eccentrics, and stroke variation is made by varying the throw of the eccentrics. The workpiece is supported on centres t and is rotated for observing the eccentricity by driven wheels p upon which the bar is pressed by rollers ql on spring-pressed arms q.
