May 3, 1933, No. 12918. Convention date, May 3, 1932. [Class 38 (iv).] In a system for producing high voltages by charging condensers C in parallel and discharging them in series, the condensers are arranged so that their capacity to earth is as small as possible. Preferably each is a cylindrical wound condenser arranged within that of next lower voltage and the discharging spark gaps F are arranged in the spaces between the condenser elements.
