Abstract
397,185. Motor driving-arrangements. DUSS & BENDER SPEZIALFABRIK FœR ELEKTROWERKZEUGE GES. and BENDER, W., Neubulach, Station Teinach, Wurtemberg, Germany. Feb. 20, 1932, No. 5113. [Class 35.] An electrically driven portable machine tool has a number of parallel driving shafts arranged on an arc of a circle concentric with an axis parallel to the axes of the shafts, the latter being driven at different speeds so that a rotary tool head may be interchangeably attached to any shaft. The apparatus comprises a casing a containing an electric motor whose armature b carries a pinion c<1> meshing with a larger gear n<1> on a shaft k1. A pinion k4 on the shaft k1 drives a shaft k2 and a pinion k5 thereon drives a shaft k3, the shafts k1, k2, k3 rotating at successively lower speeds and being arranged on a circle p which is preferably concentric with the axis of the machine. A disc z is rotatably secured and locked to the gear casing h by a central screw z1 and handle z2 and carries a split socket z3 so as to clamp the sleeve t, Fig. 1, of a tool head opposite the desired driving shaft.
