Abstract

397,063. Kinematograph apparatus. ANDREWS, A. A., The Rise, Station Road, Tiptree, Essex. March 28, 1933, [April 14, 1931, date given under Sect. 15 of the Acts, being that of 367,618], No. 9296/33. [Class 97 (i).] In apparatus comprising a shutter operatively linked to a revoluble eccentric member, film-feeding means in the form of one or more projections 12 engaging the film perforations is provided on the link 10, the eccentric member is a crank pin 9 on a disc 8, and the shutter is a reciprocating plate 11 having an exposure aperture therein. The apparatus may be capable of use both as a camera and as a projector, and may comprise a casing 1 divided by a longitudinal partition forming compartments, one of which is constructed to form film-holders 3a, 3b and a double-walled film track 5, and houses an adjustable lens 7, a condenser 6, and a projection lamp. The other compartment houses the driving mechanism comprising a gear 16 on a spindle carrying a driving handle, a pinion 17 on the spindle of the disc 8 meshing with the gear 16, and a pulley 18 fixed to the gear 16 and driving the take-up spindle by a belt 19 and pulley 20.
