Abstract

395,770. Kinematograph projectors. COLLINGS, C. E. HILLERY-, 9N, Camberwell Green Estate, London. Jan. 27, 1932, No. 2491. [Class 97 (i).] A front member B containing a projection lens b<1>, film gate, and film-feed. and shutteroperating mechanism, is hingedly connected to a relatively-large auxiliary apparatus C carrying a lamp house E and film-winding and guiding means, gear wheels being provided on the two parts which mesh when the parts are operatively connected ; the front member may be part of a convertible camera and projector, as described in Specifications 374,881 and 376,803, and the auxiliary apparatus may be a part substituted for the part usually connected to the front member, and may enable pictures of larger size to be projected. The auxiliary apparatus may carry a bracket P to which the member B is secured by a removable hinge pin R, and may contain a motor which drives a shaft F, by a belt G and pulley f<1>, and also drives, by another belt, a take-up spool K on a shaft L carrying both spools. The shaft F carries payout and take-up sprockets, and also a gear wheel meshing with a gear wheel 18 on the member B to drive the mechanism therein. A blade spring b<3> on the member B engages a pin T on the apparatus C to hold the parts in operative position.
