Abstract

397,018. Testing and grading eggs. HILGERS, W., 246, Munsterstrasse, Dusseldorf, Germany. Jan. 19, 1933, No. 1831. [Class 28 (ii).] In an apparatus for sorting or grading eggs, fruit, &c. by weight, the eggs &c. f are fed to the scale beams by means of a roller conveyer 2 and rocking member 3. The rollers of the conveyer engage portions of the upper surface of the bedplate 47 and receive a rotation therefrom so that the eggs &c. are rotated for inspection. An illuminating device for use particularly in detecting bad eggs may be arranged between the strands of the conveyer.
