[Class 45.] Tubular frameworks comprise straight or curved tubular members e, f, and junction pieces a, c, of the same sectional shape and dimensions at their ends and adapted to be connected together by spring dowels i of slightly larger diameter than the internal diameter of the tubes and of substantially the same cross-section throughout their length. The dowels may be split tubes, Fig. 4, or metal bent to an S-formation, Fig. 9, or corrugated longitudinally, or metal sheet with tapered edges wrapped in spiral formation, Fig. 11. Reference has been directed by the Comptroller to Specifications 18544/92, [Class 45, Fencing &c.], and 1406/01, [Class 99, Pipes &c.].
