[Class 99 (i)] [Also in Groups X, XIV and XXV] A coupling for tubes or bars applicable to scaffolding, fences, furniture &c. comprises a spigot 5 received in the end of the tube and having a transverse grub-screw 2 which is screwed in to bear against the interior of the tube by a key inserted through a hole 7 in the tube. The spigot may be tapered.
