396,024. Refrigerating ; heating water. AKT.-GES. BROWN, BOVERI, ET CIE, Baden, Switzerland. Oct. 20, 1931, No. 29103. Convention date, May 9. Void [Published under Sect. 91 of the Acts]. [Classes 29 and 64 (i).] A cold-air refrigerating system including a driving motor 5, compressor 1 and expansion motor 4 is used for domestic refrigeration and the heat of compression of the air is utilized for heating water for domestic supply in apparatus 2, which may be auxiliary to an electrically heated domestic boiler 3. An interchanger 8 between the cold air returning from the refrigerator and the air leaving the water heater may be used, and the compressor and expansion motor may be lubricated by oil circulated with the air in a closed cycle, the oil being entrained by jet action from a reservoir on the pressure side of the compressor.
