Abstract
395,823. Valve amplifying circuits. RADIOAKT.-GES. D. S. LOEWE, 10, Wiesenweg, Steglitz, and KAPTEYN, P., 5, Schwalbacherstrasse, Friedenau, both in Berlin. April 4, 1932, No. 9566. Convention date, April 4, 1931. Addition to 395,056. [Classes 39 (i) and 40 (v).] In a thermionic valve amplifier of the kind described in the parent Specification, the gridcathode capacity of the first stage A1 is made larger than that of the second stage A2. This is ensured either by making the inter-electrode spacing G1, K1 less than that between G2 and K2, or by making the diameter of the cathode K1 larger than that of the cathode K2. The object is to increase the amplification of the first stage relatively to that of the second, in order to ensure the greatest possible overall amplification of the system consistent with stability. The arrangement may be applied to a multiple-stage valve or to two separate valves.
