Abstract

395,618. Step-by-step conveyers. GIBBONS BROS., Ltd. and JACKSON, H. W., Dibdale Works, Dudley, Worcestershire. Jan. 20, 1933, No. 1881. [Class 78 (i).] In a beam conveyer of the kind including two groups of beams which are reciprocated in an endwise direction, the load being supported alternately on each set during the periods of forward movement of the set, the driving gear comprises a pair of wheels 5, Fig. 5, each of which is provided with a radial slot 7 in which slides a block 8 carrying a crank pin 10. One end of each crank pin projects into a guide groove 12, Fig. 4, in a stationary member 13, and the opposite end extends between a pair of jaws extending downwardly from the underside of one of the groups of beams. The vertical movement of one group is produced by the mechanism described in Specification 395,617.
