Abstract

A varnish comprises a colloidal aqueous solution of wood oil stand oil. As an example, 75 parts of wood oil stand oil, 2 parts of cobalt resinate and 25 parts of turpentine oil may be mechanically dispersed in 100 parts of water to which 1 part of an emulsifying agent, e.g. potassium resinate, has been added.
