Abstract

395,043. Cartons &c. MENTEN, P., 27, Rua Miguel Menten, Sao Paulo, Brazil. Jan. 22, 1932, No. 2010. [Class 18.] A collapsable carrier for one or more electric light bulbs &c. intended for insertion in an independent carton, casing, or cover, comprises a collapsable box-shaped holder 6, Fig. 1, at each end or side of a cardboard or like base 1 with aligned orifices 7 in the facing sides of the holders for receiving the bulb &c. and a pair of flanges 5 running from holder to holder along the base to stiffen it, such flanges being entirely independent of the casing or cover 8 used to enclose the carrier. In a modification, Fig. 3, an apertured central rib 13 mounted on the base 1a between the holders 6a provides an additional intermediate support for the bulbs &c. and the rib may be formed from a folded sheet mounted on a sub-base 10 having folded end portions 16 bearing against the holders 6a.
