395,017. Reflectors. HIGGS, G. N., Chromaloid Works, Oaklands Road, London. Jan. 7, 1932, No. 524. [Class 75 (ii).] In a reflector of the kind in which the surface is composed of two or more sections of different reflective properties, the entire reflective surface is plated with chromium, silver or other metal, some of the surface being dull and the remainder highly reflective. The dull area 6 may be provided by being left unpolished or by being roughened, e.g. by etching in an acid bath, and the highly reflective area 5 is polished, polishing and any roughening being done either before or after plating. The centre part 5a of the reflector is unroughened. An intermediate layer, e.g. of copper, may be applied before the final reflecting layer and may be polished. The bright area may be at the top or sides, or on both sides. A glass or equivalent having parts made diffusing may be used with the reflector,
