Abstract

394,155. Reflectors. ADAMS, B., 14, Bedford Chambers, Covent Garden, London. Aug. 5, 1932, No. 22021. Convention date, June 6. [Class 97 (i).] In a vehicle headlamp, a small opaque shield, placed close in front of the source of light and provided with an inner reflecting surface 3, has an outer convex reflecting surface 4, in front of which is a maroon, magenta, or similarly coloured screen, so that light from an external source falling on that convex surface is reflected as a coloured divergent beam on to the main reflector 14. The colour screen in the form shown comprises a varnish coating, which may extend over the lower face and sides of the shank 1 forming part of the shield. The shank 1 is hollow, and grips the limbs 10 of a spring clip 11 which can be attached to the cap 12 of the electric bulb. The inner and outer reflector may be formed separately.
