Abstract
394,069. Snap-action switches. MOSS, J. H., 53, Bridge Street, Belper, Derbyshire. Feb. 23, 1932, No. 5340. [Class 38 (v).] The traffic-control signals for road vehicles are controlled by a multipleway switch consisting of a universally-mounted arm 10, Fig. 4, adapted to close the circuits of the signals by contacts 17, 18, 19, Fig. 1, at the apices of a polygonal opening 12 in which the arm moves. The universal pivot consists of a ball 14, and the arm is guided into and held in its required position by a spring-pressed plunger 15 with a grooved end, with which the end 14a engages. The device is mounted on the dashboard of the vehicle and carries tell-tale signals 23, 24, 25 in series with the corresponding signals at the front or rear of the vehicle.
