Abstract
393,215. Spring upholstery. MANNING, G., 25, Bakewell Road, Lostock, Stretford, Manchester. Dec. 3, 1931, No. 36167/32. Divided on 389,191. [Class 52 (iv).] A seat-back springing consists of a series of bearer bars F suspended at their upper ends from a rail and connected at their lower ends by tension springs A to a rail on a forwardly extending part of a frame N, flexible connections H being provided to check side sway of the bearer bars. The device may, as shown, be made as a detachable unit or in a modified form, the lower angle part of the frame N may be secured to the chair frame and the bearer bars suspended from the top rail of the said frame.
