Abstract

392,001. Gun sights. JUNG, K., 2, Kufsteinerplatz, Munich, Germany, and GERBER, W. N., 15, Freigutstrasse, Zurich, Switzerland. June 18, 1932, No. 17282. [Classes 92 (ii) and 119.] Relates to telescope gun sights of the kind in which the telescope holder T is adjusted in elevation with respect to a supporting rail A by movement about a pivot 2 perpendicular to the contacting surfaces of the parts. According to the invention, overlapping openings or slots such as 1a, 4, Fig. 7, are provided in the holder and rail and a member 6 carried partly in each opening or slot is adjustable as by a screw 5 to displace the holder relatively to the rail. The slots may be disposed either parallel or perpendicular to the optical axis of the telescope, and a leaf spring 10 controlled by a. cam lever 10c may serve to prevent backlash. Instead of providing slots 4 in the rail inclined with respect to an intermediate slot 1a in the holder as shown in Fig. 7, an eccentric pin 16 rotatable in the rail by a handle 14 may engage a slot 11a in the holder as shown in Fig. 8. The slot in this construction may be disposed at any desired angle to the optical axis of the telescope.
