[Class 108 (iii).] In a vehicle shockabsorber in which a movable vane b or piston is arranged in a cylindrical body part a containing fluid, the closure at one or both ends is effected by a plate d having a plain periphery and pressed into a plain aperture in the body part. A thin annular lip e on the plate d may co-operate with a groove in the body part. The gland for the spindle g carrying the vane may comprise a plain cap h adapted to be pressed into a cylindrical recess and serving to hold a U-shaped leather j in place. Specification 156,991, [Class 108 (iii), Springs &c.], is referred to.
