Abstract
390,641. Ink. WACKER GES. FUR ELEKTRO-CHEMISCHE INDUSTRIE GES., DR. A., 20, Prinzregentenstrasse, Munich, Germany. April 7, 1932, No. 10000. Convention date, May 9, 1931. [Class 146 (iii).] In intaglio printing inks the benzene hydrocarbons are replaced by volatile paraffin hydrocarbons to which is added a small proportion of a neutral liquid solvent containing oxygen and boiling between 90‹ and 170‹ C., and of the kind used in the preparation of lacquers. Propyl alcohol or, preferably, a compound having two oxygen atoms and a chain of two carbon atoms such as ethylene glycol monoethyl ether may be employed.
