[Class 20 (iii).] A vehicle-window panel comprises a composite glass sheet having a groove along one edge, in which is inserted a strip J of rigid transparent substance adapted to engage slidably in a groove formed in an adjacent similar sheet. A window with inclined front edge may be composed of a fixed frame A<1> and a sliding part A made according to the invention. A space K is left between the edges of the glass and a strip L of suitable packing may be placed at the bottom of the groove beneath the strip J. The groove may be formed during manufacture or by cutting out the intermediate sheet later.
