[Class 8 (ii).] In the apparatus according to the parent Specification there is additionally provided a second coaxial conduit for discharging the cleansed medium deflected through the apertures of the tapered conduit. There is also an apparatus for performing the cleansing operation in more than one stage. The conduit 113 formed with conical members which provides lateral openings 115 is contained within a coaxial conduit 117 whereby the cleansed gases may pass away at 118 and the foreign matter passes out through the opening 116. This casing may be further enclosed in the framework carrying the blower. In one form, the coaxial casing 122 is provided with control vanes 123, 133 whereby if desired gases carrying the impurities may be directed for a second time through the blower and cleaner. With such arrangement a second blower may be employed for redirecting the residual gases through the primary cleaner. In a further modification a part of the primary cleaner is divided off and its discharge from one section only which is subjected to a second cleaning operation. This arrangement is still further modified in that two cleaning conduits in series are used instead of a divided single conduit.
