Abstract

387,531. Stands. HARRIS & SHELDON, Ltd., HOPKINS, C. S.,and ASTON, T. E., Stafford Street, Birmingham. March 24, 1932, No. 8724. [Class 52 (v).] A display stand for use in shop windows consists of a number of sleeves each carrying a bracket and arranged end to end on a central spindle. The sleeves 4, each carrying a bracket 8 supported by a strut 13, are threaded on a central pillar 1 so that their adjacent ends contact and the pillar is mounted between the floor and ceiling by foot and head fittings 2. Each sleeve can rotate on the central pillar independently and is fixed by a screw 15. The brackets may be formed bow-shaped with lipped ends to receive glass shelves. The top end of the pillar may be free. According to the Provisional Specification, ball races may be provided between the abutting ends of the sleeves.
