Abstract

[Class 37.] Pairs of air-cored chokes for connection one in each leg of a transmission line sc that the combinatior is non-inductive as regards loop currents are wound with each turn of one as close as possible to the corresponding turn of the other, e.g. by using bifilar wire. As shown four pairs are formed as a single structure built up from thick and thin washers 16, 17 clamped between cheeks 15. The unit rests on stepped portions of the side walls of a pot 3 closed by a plate 12 provided with a pair of holes fitted with screw plugs, and a second pair, through which the line wires pass, having insulating bushes.
