[Class 20 (i).] A pole for the support of electric transmission lines consists of two channel members 1 disposed parallel from the base to the cross-arm 2 and connected by bracing members 3, and which, beyond the cross-arm, are devoid of bracing and bend inwardly to meet at the top where they support an i nsulator 6. Two stirrupplates 7, 8 with a space between are secured to the top and hold a bar 10 to which the insulator is secured. The channel members may have ribbed webs.
