Abstract
382,329. Cables. SIEMENS BROS. & CO., Ltd., Caxton House, Tothill Street, London, GRINSTED, W. H., under the Plane, London Lane, Bromley, Kent, and DANKS, S. S., 25, Pound Park Road, Charlton, London. July 28, 1931, No. 21565. [Class 36.] A cable for connecting banks of selector switches comprises a plurality of insulated conductors arranged side by side and enclosed between layers of sticky tape, each conductor being brought out to the edge of the cable at regular intervals and there formed into a bare projecting loop to which electrical connection may be made. The conductors may extend parallel to the length of the cable or may be disposed in a zig-zag or flattened spiral formation. The Figure shows insulated conductors B, O, G, &c. arranged in a flattened spiral formation and enclosed within a folded sticky tape ST. At regular intervals along the open edge of the tape the conductors are bent into projecting loops B2, 02, G2, &c. from which the insulation is removed by scorching or pinching.
