E., 27, Elderslie Road, Eltham, London. Aug. 25, 1932, No. 23784. Addition to 372,004. [Class 40 (iv).] Certain bridges comprising, as described in the parent Specification, ballast resistances to keep the feed current between narrow limits in series with the feed impedances, which have magnetic circuits improved as described in Specification 254,364, [Class 38 (v), Electric switches &c.], are fed from a source of current of considerably higher voltage than that employed for the normal bridges in the same exchange. For example, the feed relay on the office side of an outgoing repeater or of an incoming selector-repeater may have one winding fed from the normal battery and the other from the booster metering battery. In a satellite the feed bridge in the discriminating selector may be cut out on outgoing calls, an increased-voltage feed being provided in the outgoing repeater. Two balanced pairs of ballast resistances may be employed as shown in Fig. 3.
