Abstract

386,269. Golf clubs. STEVENS, A. H., 5, Quality Court, Chancery Lane, London.- (Young Co., L. A. ; Detroit, Michigan, U.S.A.) Aug. 12, 1932, No. 22683. [Class 132 (ii).] The head of a golf club has a striking plate 7 and a weight 4 situated in recesses formed respectively in the face and rear surface thereof and retained in position by screws 11, 14 or like members serially arranged in spaced relation along a bore extending between the recesses. The weight is secured by one or a number of screws each disposed in a shouldered bore 10 that is afterwards filled by a glued plug. The ivory or other face plate is secured by a single headed screw threaded into one of the plugs.
