Abstract
385,263. Fancy yarns. FEITZ, Y. J. M., c/o. De Frisia Wolspinnerij Naamlooze Vennootschap, Veenendaal, Holland. March 13, 1931, No. 7811. Convention date, Feb. 23, 1931. Void [Published under Sect. 91 of the Acts]. [Classes 120 (ii) and 120 (iii).] Fancy yarns comprise " flocks " of roving 52, Fig. 8, and binding-yarns 9 and may be doubled to produce a yarn as shown in Fig. 6, the flocks and yarns being of any desired and different colour. Rovings 12, 22, 32, Fig. 2, are intermittently fed by rollers 11, 21, 31 to continuously rotating plucking or flocking rollers 40, 41, and are twisted with binding- yarns 9 by a twisting-device such as a flyer 50 arranged at right-angles to the plane of the rollers 40, 41 so that the twist runs up to the nip. Pins constituting converging guides for the rovings are arranged between the feeding-rollers and guide rollers 6, 8, and wire guides 92, Fig. 5, are provided to maintain the relationship of the binding-yarns and the rovings. The guide rollers 6, 8 are provided with rubber rings 61, 81 so as to be frictionally driven by the co-operating lower rollers. The feeding-rollers are driven through mutilated gearing from gears 43, 44, 45 on the shaft of the lower plucking roller, and check wheels and pawls, such as 28, 29, are included in the train to maintain precision in the periodical arrest of the drive.
