383,160. Washing-machines. NIELD, W. H., 275, Stockport Road, Cheadle Heath, Stockport, and MELLAND, W., 23, King Street, Manchester. April 1, 1932, No. 9367. [Class 138 (ii).] Several rotary washing-machines 1, 2, 3, each having an individual drive-shaft 4, 5, 6, are geared to a common drive shaft 9 provided with automatic reversing-gear 10 and the pinions 8 transmitting the drive to the shafts 4, 5, 6 are slidably keyed to the shaft 9 so that the.drive to any machine may be disconnected. Each machine is provided with its own inlet and discharge valve 11. The machines are arranged on a platform and shoots 12 lead from their discharge openings 13 to a corresponding number of hydro-extractors 14, 15, 16.
