382,989. Kinematograph apparatus. KRUPCSINSZKY, M. and LEFKOVITS, E., Trebisov, Czecho-Slovakia. Sept. 10, 1931, No. 25424. [Class 97 (i).] A safety device comprises a cylinder without teeth arranged in such relation to the intermittent sprocket below the gate that the film surrounds at least two-thirds of the circumference of the sprocket. As shown in Fig. 1, b is the film, d the intermittent sprocket, c the pressure rollers, and 1 the safety cylinder. As shown in Fig. 3, the cylinder is provided with collars 1<1> and is rotatable on an axle 2, having a collar 6 near its inner end, and a pin 2<11> near its outer end to secure the cylinder against lateral shifting. The axle 2 is hinged to a bolt 3 threaded into the main frame and held by a nut 5, a flat spring 4 mounted on the bolt 3 bearing on the inner end of the axle, the spring holding the axle both in the normal and the swing-out positions.
