382,175. Removing dust on generation. MOORE & SONS, Ltd., C. F. and MOORE, C. F., 11, Sekforde Street, Clerkenwell, London. Feb. 23, 1932, No. 5393. [Class 8 (ii).] In a portable electric routing-machine, the motor is arranged to drive a fan for directing air across the routing point to remove the cuttings. A cutter 6 is held in a chuck 5 fixed together with a fan 4 to the armature of a motor 3 carried by a casing 1 vertically adjustable relatively to a base ring 10. A volute outlet 21 from the fan is connected by a flexible tube 22 to a nozzle 23, the ring 10 having a conical inner surface 31 to assist in the removal of the cuttings. Alternatively, the motor and fan may be fixed to the base 10, the chuck being separately adjustable, and the tube 22 may be replaced by a conduit integral with the casing 1.
