Abstract

382,172. Pipe cleaners. AURINGER, G., New Rockford, North Dakota, U.S.A. Feb. 18, 1932, No. 4877. [Class 99 (ii).] A pipe is cleaned by a tool 7 which is mounted on the end of a rotatable flexible shank 5, the other end of the latter being provided with a handle 8. The shank is disposed within a flexible sheath 9 which is of less length and is tapered towards the tool at that end. The other end of the sheath is provided with a thimble 12 between which and a like member 14 on the handle is disposed a spring 13 which serves normally to hold the tool against the sheath but permits relative movement thereof. Preferably the shank and sheath are both of closely-coiled wire.
