Abstract

382,039. Refuse-consuming furnaces. PILLATT & CO., Ltd. and PILLATT, A. E., Stapleford Ironworks, Nottingham. Oct. 1, 1931, No. 27290. [Class 51 (i).] An incinerator for waste wood &c. is provided with a hopper 1 of polygonal section into which material for combustion is fed pneumatically through a conduit 2. The hopper is provided with a porous or perforated screen 10 at the top and material enters the furnace by gravity through the tube 4 and opening controlled by a door 6. A boiler 11 is arranged on top of the furnace and heated by products of combustion.
