381,478. Floors ; roofs. GRIESEL, H., 34, Hohenstaufenstrasse, Berlin. March 17, 1932, No. 8015. Convention date, March 21, 1931. Addition to 380,601. [Class 20 (iv).] The floors and roofs described in the parent Specification and comprising joists and upper slabs which clamp the lower or ceiling slabs, are modified by the ceiling slabs 2 being flexibly but inextensibly connected to auxiliary beams 20 which engage recesses in the abutments 5 or 6 for the floor slab 8 and have sloping faces 23. On assembly, the beams 20 are forced against and up the webs of the main joists 1 and put the connections 21 in tension. The flexible connections may be iron bars, woven wire, strip iron, or of hinge formation. The abutments may be long or short blocks and either solid or hollow.
