[Class 45.] A tool primarily for drawing together the ends of a motor-cycle or like driving chain comprises two inter-pivoted levers a, a<1> each having a j awe, e<1> at its free end for insertion behind the end rollers of thechain ends. The levers are pressed from metal strip into hollow channelled form and are caused to approach one another against a spring c by means of a nut i and screw g. Auxiliary notches f, f<1> are provided in the gripper jaws and the tool may be used as a spanner, hand vice, tap and die holder, pipe or wire grip or a pair of pliers.
