Abstract
379,517. Mixed yarns. GROVES, W. W., 30, Southampton Buildings, London. -(I. G. Farbenindustrie Akt.-Ges.; Frankfort-on-Main, Germany.) Sept. 4, 1931, No. 24877. [Class 120 (iii).] A mixed yarn containing wool and artificial staple fibres is made by bringing the wool fibres into parallel relationship, cutting them to the length of the artificial staple fibres, which is 1-2 inches, mixing both kinds of fibres and working up the mixture on a cotton spinning machine. The wool fibres may be carded and cut, and mixed with the artificial staple fibres before combing, or the artificial fibres and the silk fibres may be made into separate slivers which are combined on the drawing frame.
