Jan. 20, 1931, No. 1841. Convention date, Feb. 8, 1930. Void [Published under Sect. 91 of the Acts]. Drawings to Specification. [Class 99 (ii).] A pipe is provided with a rust-proof coating by dipping it in bitumen and then wrapping a strip of woollen-felt or jute saturated with bitumen therearound, and it is rendered suitable for immediate shipment by an outer layer of paper which is also wrapped around the pipe in the form of a strip, preferably simultaneously with the felt or jute. The paper strip may be coated with paraffin, and it is preferably wider than the strip of felt.
