377,222. Valve accessories. MAIN, Ltd., R. & A. and WORTLEY, G. W., Gothic Works, Falkirk. April 17, 1931, No. 11503. [Class 135.] Locking catches; stops.- A multiple-way plug cock, such as a gas cock with main and byepass passages, is provided with an axiallv-movable manipulating-member 22 operating in conjunction with slots 11, 12 in the casing so that when moved axially, rotated and released to engage the slot 11, which is arcuate, the plug can be rotated between stops to open and close one of the outlet passages (main passage) whereas when moved axially, rotated, and again freed to engage the slot 12 the plug cock is locked with all the outlet passages closed. The manipulating-member 22 and the plug 13 are slotted to receive the locking-finger 26 which projects beyond the surface of the plug 13 at one side only, there being a spring 29 and bearing- washer enclosed within a cap 24 to hold the manipulating-member with the finger 26 engaged with one or other of the slots 11, 12. One of the outlets 7 (the byepass) is fed by an arcuate groove 31 in the plug extending between the ends of the passage through the plug ; the passage 7 is controlled by a throttle screw 8.
