[Class 93.] Pieces of plywood or veneer strips of different kinds or the same kind cut out in the carving-machine by the method described in the parent Specification are exchanged so that thin strips of inlay work are produced. The veneer strips may be composed of a number of layers a1, a2 comprising for example a longitudinal veneer and a transverse veneer, and the cut-out filling pieces b, c are turned over and replaced, as shown in the Figure. The strip is ground &c. on its front face and coated with glue on the rear side. The strip may be gummed to a paper support or to a flat or curved wooden bar to produce ornamented bars with inlay work.
