Class 100 (3) Printers' furniture.-A piece of furniture for a chase comprises two walls of hard steel strip for engaging the inside of the chase and the type matter or quoins, maintained in parallel spaced relationship by one or more intermediate members of a light alloy. The various parts may be connected together by a synthetic metal bonding glue such as that known by the Registered Trade Mark " Redax " by means of a heat and pressure process. Two steel walls 1, 2, Fig. 1, are connected by light alloy strips 3, 4, having flanges cut away along parts of their length to accommodate a sinuous light alloy strip 5 whose side edges contact the walls 1, 2. In another form, Fig. 4, the walls 10, 11 are connected by a light alloy cross bar 12 and two light alloy U-section strips 13, 14.
