[Classes 145 (i) and 145 (ii)] Plywood is made in continuous lengths from one or more peeled strips of veneer b<111>, b1<SP>111> with at least one layer f<1>, the grain of which is disposed at an angle to that of the uncut strip, the strips being passed through a drying furnace and glued in a heated press having rollers m, the finished sheet u being rolled up. The veneer is carried on open wire net conveyer bands. The adhesive material may be spread or sprayed on to the layer f<1> from nozzles h, i while it is on the conveyer g.
