377,089. Motor-car bonnet &c. fastenings. LA BORBOLLA, I. DE, 367, Calle Durango, Mexico City, Mexico. Dec. 29, 1931, No. 35908. [Class 44.] A fastening device for the bonnet of a motor car operable from the driver's seat comprises a forked member 1 the arms of which are slidably mounted in guides 3 on the chassis and are provided with hooked projections 8 adapted to engage in eyes 9 secured internally to the bonnet 7. Member 1 is operated directly or by the brake or other lever 4, for which a lock (not shown) may be provided to retain it in locking position. The arms may also have projections 11 extending through slots in the bonnet and serving to swing pivoted members 13 on the chassis into engagement with the inner face of the rim of a spare wheel 10 to secure it in place.
