Abstract

377,014. Lappets for spinning and twisting machines. APPLEBY, E. and APPLEBY, Ltd., J., Castle Works, Tower Road, Aston, Birmingham. Sept. 23, 1931, No. 26535. [Class 120 (ii).] In a thread guide or lappet for spinning and twisting machines of the kind in which a wire loop f through which the thread passes is adjustable relatively to the lappet by a spiral cam i, the lower plate e is formed at its underside with a pair of deep depressions g which provide at the upper side of the plate a pair of parallel ridges h, between which the stem of the loop can lie and which serve to support the cam i within the lappet. The lower plate is held in position by turning over its underside the lower edges of the flanges s of the upper plate a, at the rear of which are formed hinge parts b for co-operating with corresponding parts c on the attachment plate d. At the inner end of the lower plate a pair of upward projections j are provided to prevent relative movement between the plates.
