[Class 74 (ii).] A tension device for incorporation in the system for supplying yarn to a knitting- machine comprises, in combination, fixed guides 10, 11 between which the yarn passes through frictional gripping means 13, 14 and through a freely movable guide 25 on a spring arm 26.
