Thread guides. - Lappets for spinning and doubling machines are formed of two parts A, B, hinged on a pin c, and the guide wire is secured by a swivelling plate D, which engages inturned flanges a<1> on the top part A and is provided with a groove for the shank of the guide wire and a slot for the adjusting nut e. A screw F engages a tapped hole in the plate D adjustably to clamp it with the bottom plate against the flange a<1>. Specifications 112,686 and 174,511 are referred to.
