Special yarns, producing; thread guides.-In doubling-machines adapted for the production of knop yarns, a blade b, which forms with the bar a passage c for one yarn, and an adjustable slit plate e for another yarn are mounted on the knop bar a. The end g of the blade is flanged to engage the bar and the plate e engages the sides of the end g, and a bolt d secures both to the bar. By this arrangement a single knop bar may be readily adapted for two knop yarns, and the position of the knops on the ground yarn may be adjusted.
