Point-tongues, mounting of.-A plate 4 integral with or secured to the tongue 1 has a recess for a vertical pivot carried by a bed-plate 2, the plate 4 having shoulders engaged by a bridgeplate 9 secured to the plate 2 and a stop bolt 13 carried by the stock rail 11. The plate 4 may be secured by welding-material 5, some of which may form the shoulder for the bolt 13, while the pivot 7 may be welded to the plate 2. Fibre washers 6, 14 may be provided.
