Abstract

377,000. Towing. BURROW, R. and HILL, M. J., Littlewood, Chislehurst Road, Orpington, Kent. Sept. 3, 1931, No. 24797. [Class 114.] Electrically propelled boats for amusement purposes are supplied with electric current through a contact member of substantial area submerged in the water which is made conducting by adding an electrolyte such as salt. Current is supplied to upper and lower conductors which may each comprise units of metal netting. The upper conductor 10 is engaged by a spring arm 19 connected through a wire 20, metallic sleeve 21 and socket 14 to one lead 13 of the motor 6, the other lead 13a being connected to a metal plate 22.
