269,847. Compagnie Frangaise pour l'Exploitation des ProcÚdÚs Thomson-Houston. April 20, 1926, [Convention date]. Direct connections between conductors. - A conductor is connected to the carbon electrode of a battery by coating the carbon with zinc or other metal, other than copper, by spraying, painting &c., and connecting the conductor directly to the metal layer. In an example, the carbon is sprayed with zinc to which the conductor is soldered. The Specification as open to inspection under Sect. 91 (3) (a) states that the metal coating on the carbon may consist of any metal, and copper, tin, iron and its alloys are mentioned. The method is applicable to the carbon brushes, of electric motors, generators &c. This subjectmatter does not appear in the Specification as accepted.
